-
Annual Education Conference
We offer a variety of educational classes and workshops about
Alzheimer’s disease and dementia for specific audiences and for the
general public. Class offerings for family caregivers cover topics
such as: the basics of Alzheimer’s disease, communication
challenges, behavior management, Alzheimer’s treatments and research
updates, planning for the future and resources and accessing help.
Classes are interactive and allow plenty of time for questions and
answers. Most classes are free and require advance registration to
attend.
The Chapter also offers classes and presentations to community
groups, civic groups, businesses and other non-profits who would
like to hear about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, research,
caregiving, policy issues, brain health and advocacy.
If you would like to arrange for a training or presentation in your
community, please call the Chapter Education Director at
800.848.7097 or email
Julie.shatzer@alz.org.
Please visit our events calendar to view Chapter sponsored
presentations and classes, and to learn about health fairs and
conferences in your community.
